About Tsuyoshi Kondo

Originally from Nagoya, Japan, Tsuyoshi Kondo first came to the United States over ten years ago to attend the University of Iowa, and moved to New York to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse. He has trained with the SITI company, Flying Machine and Theater de Complicite. He was one of the founding members of the International Theater Ensemble where he led the creation of "The second bakery attack", a theater piece based on a short story of Haruki Murakami. He has developed a number of original roles for the critically acclaimed New York based theatre company Collision Theory of which he is a member, and has performed at the New York Theater Workshop, LaMaMa, Here Arts Center and others. Most recently, he had collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists, Jeremy Xido and Claudia Heu on a multi-media performance piece, "Trace". "Trace" premiered in Austria in 2005.
